Celebrating national chili day by devouring the last bowl of leftover chili! I made a big batch of vegan chili (inspired by @archiemoores vegetarian chili) when a friend from Connecticut visited. We've both moved away so it was nostalgia chili for both of us.

I've been working on a single loaf batch of enriched bread for a while now. It's coming out pretty but it's a little too dense. I would say this is a #firsttry but actually it's at least the 8th attempt with this recipe. So much tweaking!

New recipe! This 'California veggie melt sandwich' fills the hole that @literaticafe left in my life when they stopped selling their veggie melt sandwich. It has crushed avocado on one slice, pesto and melted cheddar on the other, and stacked in between are shredded carrots, sprouts, baby kale leaves, and tomato slices. #makeitvegan by using any vegan cheese that melts well instead of the cheddar.
